Wow. What an absolutely brilliant piece of writing. I was blown away. I wasn’t going to read Mary Trump’s book, having been put off by the sensationalist media excerpts, but this piece has made me rethink that. Although I think the truth might be that I’d rather read more Max Gordon. What a gut-punching treat to read — a brilliant and resonant expression of the abject horror we’re all witnessing and experiencing.
