Great read. I concur with much of what you’re saying. I differentiate between healthy masculinity and toxic insecurity, and believe men still have every right to feel okay about expressing and embodying inherent traits of physical strength and primal male sexuality without being demonized for it. Or demasculinized, and made to feel their mere existence represents a threat. I do wish that the one paragraph that politicizes and turns your piece into a left/right and GOP/Democrat debate wasn’t there. I think this issue isn’t — or shouldn’t be — turned into a partisan one. (I’m probably to the far left of Michael Moore but agree with about 85% of your article.)
